VINTAGE WEST AFRICAN TEXTILE/ SARONG/ WRAP

this one has been used!! in the house, in the fields & at the market - used & abused you can really enjoy this one

I can still smell the dusty sunshine

there are many mends, fixes, darns and resews on this piece. the indigo is faded and like an old pair of denim jeans. the hand spun and loomed cotton is super soft. the stripes are 4 “ and pieced together. a sewing machine bind at the top and bottom make it a newer piece 1970-1990’s. this textile makes a great beach blanket, sarong wrap, head scarf or cut it up to make pillows, curtains, napkins.
